Although most candies fall under the restricted foods category with braces, fear not, you can still satisfy your sweet tooth. Indulge in Halloween treats that are braces friendly, like chocolates that melt in your mouth, Jell-O, marshmallows, peanut butter cups, ice cream or cake.

Oral hygiene is important especially around Halloween time. Follows these healthy tips while you enjoy your sweet Halloween treats;
- Perfect Time: Eat Candy with meals or shortly after meals. The increased saliva helps to rinse away the bacteria in your mouth.
- Choose Candy Wisely: Avoid candies that stay in your mouth longer, the longer sugar stays in your mouth, the increased chance of cavities.
- Set Treat Time: Moderation! Eating candies should not be an all day feast. Set up treat time that can align with brushing.
- Brush and Floss: Brush your teeth twice daily for 2 minutes and floss nightly.
